BaoFeng Keypad lock.

Keypad Lock
The Baofeng UV-5R features a keypad lock that locks out all keys except for the three side keys.
To enable or disable the keypad lock, press and hold the key for about two seconds.
You can also enable so that the radio automatically locks the keypad after ten seconds from the menu, see Chapter 4, Working the menu system and ??? in Appendix B, Menu definitions for details.

You missed out which key , I looked and found it its the # key , hold it for 2escs and key pad locked ! (Repeat to un-lock ) Huzzah !

And you did ! When you press it the strange little Chinese voices says "locked" and then "un-locked" when you hold it down again
